Step 1 of 2
Anyone can put a list of estate agents online. What makes this one worth reading is that every entry can be traced back to an official source, and that we say plainly what we have not been able to check. Here is the whole method.
Since 2022, an agency with premises open to the public in the Valencian Community that carries out estate intermediation there must be entered in the official register (RAICV) kept by the Generalitat Valenciana. An agency established elsewhere that works in the Community without premises open to the public here falls outside that duty, so an absence from the register does not on its own mean an agency is acting improperly. We extract that register for the 75 towns of the province of Alicante that we cover, and every listing on this site carries its registration number so you can check it yourself. We last extracted it on 13 September 2026: 3103 registered agents.
The register distinguishes companies from individual agents registered under their own name. We publish companies only. Listing a private individual with their home address would be a personal data matter, and the information would be of little use to a buyer.
Languages, specialities, areas covered and the description come from the agency's own public website, never from a guess and never from another directory. 128 of 1239 listings have been enriched this way. The rest carry the registry information only, and say so on the page rather than filling the gap with something plausible.
Many agency websites offer ten or twelve languages through an automatic translation widget. That proves nothing about who answers the phone. We only list a language when the site is genuinely written in it, or when the agency states it in words. That rule removed Icelandic, Latvian, Lithuanian, Irish, Czech, Bulgarian and Chinese from this directory, all of which were translation widgets.
There are no invented ratings. The only stars come from verified reviews, tied to a real enquiry sent through the site, and they are shown only when at least one such review exists; today none is published. A reported review stays visible while it is checked. Until a real review exists, we would rather show nothing than show a number we made up.
Company websites change hands. Once a week we open every agency link and check what it actually serves. One agency on this directory had a website that had become a video streaming site, and its company was in liquidation: we removed the link rather than let a visitor click it.
Listings are built without asking, from public sources, which is lawful but not a reason to be careless. Any agency can claim its listing and edit it, ask for a correction, or ask for removal. Requests are handled within 72 hours, no questions asked. Any visitor can also report a mistake from the bottom of any listing.
In a town's listings, the order follows the trade and the town. Where the match is equal, a listing with an active subscription comes first: that is a commercial advantage, we say so, and it is not a judgement on their work. There are no invented ratings: the only stars come from verified reviews, tied to a real enquiry, and they are shown only when at least one exists; today none is published.
When somebody describes what they need without choosing anyone, we pass their request to three professionals at most. We pick them by trade, by town, by the towns they travel to and by rotation: where all are equal, the one who has received the fewest goes first. There is no auction, and nobody can pay to jump the queue. Receiving these requests is part of the paid subscriptions.
When somebody writes FROM a particular company's listing, that request belongs to them and to nobody else. We pass it on free of charge, subscription or not, and that will not change.
Take control of your listing, for free. You edit your own details and receive enquiries directly.
Not sure who you need?
Pick a trade, pick a town, and see the real listings straight away. We only ask for your address at the end, if you want the list kept.
Free. Nothing is asked of you before the results.About once a month: what changes in the paperwork and the costs of a home on the Costa Blanca, and the newly added trades.
