If you are reading this, you probably found HolaBlancaBot in your server logs. This page says exactly what it does, so you can decide whether to let it in.
HolaBlanca is a directory of the thirty trades behind a home on the Costa Blanca: estate agencies from the official Valencian register (RAICV), community administrators, sworn translators, notaries, and the trades that have no register and are listed by the professionals themselves. Every listing says where it comes from, and the ones from a register carry a number anyone can check.
It reads text, and only text. It does not copy photographs, does not collect property listings, does not fill in forms, and does not collect the personal data of private individuals. What it looks for is the languages an agency says it speaks and a couple of sentences describing it, so that a listing says what the agency says about itself instead of what we would have guessed.
It sends this exact user agent, from the address of our own server:
HolaBlancaBot/1.0 (+https://holablanca.com/bot)At most one request every 1.2 seconds, and it stops on its own after thirteen addresses per site. It never runs several times a day on the same site.
It reads your robots.txt before anything else and obeys it. To keep it away from your whole site, add these two lines:
User-agent: HolaBlancaBot
Disallow: /It takes effect on the next visit, and nothing else is needed. You can also write to us and we will stop, and remove your listing if you want it removed: requests are handled within 72 hours.
Not sure who you need?
Pick a trade, pick a town, and see the real listings straight away. We only ask for your address at the end, if you want the list kept.
Free. Nothing is asked of you before the results.About once a month: what changes in the paperwork and the costs of a home on the Costa Blanca, and the newly added trades.
